Uses

The tools I use for coding, writing, fitness, and music. Mostly simple things that do the job.

AI tools

  • Claude — Primary AI for writing, architecture thinking, and debugging complex problems.
  • ChatGPT — Secondary. Useful for quick lookups and comparison.
  • Kimi (Moonshot AI) — For long-context tasks when needed.

Coding tools

  • VS Code — Main editor. Nothing fancy, just works.
  • Cursor — AI-assisted coding. Good for scaffolding and refactoring, requires discipline not to accept everything.
  • GitHub — Version control and deploy trigger. Free tier is enough.
  • TablePlus — Database GUI. Clean and fast.

Fitness tools

  • Adjustable dumbbells — Home gym. Enough for strength work.
  • Running shoes — Basic. The expensive gear does not make you faster.

Hardware

  • Generic mid-range laptop — Nothing special. Works fine. Constraints build discipline.
  • Cheap mechanical keyboard — No brand worth mentioning. Tactile switches, gets the job done.

Music gear

  • Lespaul epiphone sunburst 58 — Semi-hollow. Good tone for the price. Mostly plays rhythm.
  • NUX MG-101 — Small practice amp. Apartment-friendly. More than enough for home playing.
  • Yamaha Digital Piano — 88 keys.
