AI agents are useful the same way power tools are useful: they let you make a larger mistake faster if you are lazy. The trick is staying the author. Let the machine speed up drafting, not thinking.
I use agents for scaffolding, repetition, and forcing hidden assumptions into the open. I do not outsource judgment, product sense, or the boring work of deciding what should exist in the first place.
That is the part nobody can automate for you yet, which is inconvenient but still healthy.
